{"id":875,"date":"2020-05-03T12:00:34","date_gmt":"2020-05-03T12:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kyjee.com\/?p=875"},"modified":"2020-05-05T20:01:44","modified_gmt":"2020-05-05T20:01:44","slug":"how-to-dry-flowers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kyjee.com\/?p=875","title":{"rendered":"How to Dry Flowers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\" class=\"has-text-color has-very-dark-gray-color\">You know what really makes a room look artistic and aesthetic?&nbsp; <em>Dried flowers. <\/em>Drying flowers and plants sounds very simple, but there\u2019s a more effective way to get the job done than simply leaving the cut flowers out until they shrivel up.&nbsp; Perfectly dehydrated flowers retain most of their original pigment and shape, and their petals are crisped rather than curled up like prunes.&nbsp; My mom, a self-proclaimed expert on verdure and plants, taught me some simple steps to drying flowers which I will now be sharing with all of you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\" class=\"has-text-color has-background has-very-dark-gray-color has-very-light-gray-background-color\">1.  Cut the flowers <em>just<\/em> before they are completely opened.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\" class=\"has-text-color has-background has-very-dark-gray-color has-very-light-gray-background-color\">2.  Bundle the flowers together at the ends of their stems with a rubber band<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\" class=\"has-background has-very-light-gray-background-color\">3.  Take the bundle of flowers and hang them upside down.&nbsp; I personally like to wrap a bit of the rubber band, which was used to tie the flowers together, onto a hook on the wall.&nbsp; You can also use clothespins and string to hang your flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\" class=\"has-background has-very-light-gray-background-color\">4.  Wait a few weeks until your flowers are not moist to the touch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:17px\" class=\"has-text-color has-very-dark-gray-color\">Voila!&nbsp; Now you have a batch of perfectly dried flowers that you can place in a pretty vase or wicker basket to add some detail to your room.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Perfectly dried flowers retain almost all of their original pigment and shape.
