Justine’s Poems

Haiku

Webs of lightning dance

Raindrops splatter all around

The thunder rumbles

The sky is all gray

Raindrops fall down heavily

Pitter-patter splash

Thunder booms and bangs

Lightning dancing to the beat

Raindrops tap-dancing

Clouds cover the sky

Mother Earth cries a river

Rains like a shower

Cinquian

Weather

Cold, mild, or hot

It’s unpredictable

As strange as the future

Weather

Tanka

Dancing snowflakes fall

The wind pushes them around

Like gifts from the sky

Melting when they touch your tongue

Piling into a mountain

Pantoum

The sun shines and sparkles

Hot and humid weather

Bright as fire

Blinding light

Hot and humid weather

Not a cloud in the sky

Blinding light

The sun shows off its’ rays

Not a cloud in the sky

Bright as fire

A ball of glowing lava

The sun shines and sparkles

Diamante

  Hail

Noisy, hard

  Falling, dropping, cracking

Coming from the clouds, racing down

Spinning, plummeting, speeding

Cold, wet

Rain

Acrostic

CLOUDS INVADE THE SKY

LIKE WHITE BALLS OF COTTON

OVER THE EARTH

UNDER THE BURNING SUN

DARKENING THE WORLD BELOW

YOU SEE THEM SOARING ABOVE
